7 Things You Should Do After Your Brand Photoshoot
Are you excited to finally receive your new brand photos? Whether you're a new business or an established brand, having professional photography can take your brand to the next level. However, it's important to know what to do with those photos once you get them. In this blog I’ll share 7 things you should do after you receive your brand photos back from your photographer. If you’re not sure what to do next, this post is for you!
Download
Download your photos to your computer and phone. This is the most important thing to do as soon as you receive your photos. Most photographers don’t leave your gallery up forever so that link in your email will eventually stop working.
Back-Up
Back-up your images in at least one place. I recommend using Dropbox or Google Drive for online backup and an external hard drive in case those fail. The worst is to lose valuable brand assets that you’ve invested in.
Share
If you have a team, make sure you share the photos with everyone who may need access to them. Dropbox is a great place to share your images at full quality with the rest of your team via a shared folder, not to mention, it acts as a backup for your images and is easily accessible on your phone and desktop!
Favorite
Go through your images and pick your favorites. As you do this, start brainstorming where different images can be used to enhance your brand.
Update
Update your website and any other static content you need to. If you’re a new brand and this is your first photoshoot, you should also add your favorite on-brand imagery to your brand style guide.
Plan
Start planning your social media and other new marketing content with your beautiful new imagery! Having fresh imagery makes this easy and fun!
Review
Write your brand photographer a review to let them and others know how brand photography changed your business. It’s the best way to thank them for helping you uplevel your brand ;)
