Personal Branding Photos for Local Author
Maddie Burton is an Author who lives in Tacoma, Washington. She writes “Your Five-Year Plan” on Substack. It’s “a newsletter about embracing life’s profound uncertainty, even when you'd rather not.” After Maddie’s life got turned upside-down, she switched careers from financial planner to author, writing to help others navigate change like she has had to do.
Maddie approached me a few months ago looking for some lifestyle headshots of herself in her home to convey her personality and connect with her readers on Substack. She has the most adorable style and I loved being welcomed into her home for a very personal take on personal brand photography, complete with cute and crazy kitties 😉🐱
Here’s what she emailed me when I sent her the final gallery of her brand images:
“Effie...I have NO WORDS. While I’m not surprised that your photos are as beautiful as they are—that’s why I decided to work with you, after all!—I am totally blown away.
I’ve never had photos of myself that make me THIS proud to put out into the world. They’re such a perfect representation of who I am, and by extension, the work that I do. (And also: who my crazy cats are, haha!) I couldn’t be happier!!
