Brand Photography for Downtown Tacoma Restaurant

Effie not only has a great eye for photography, but styling as well! In addition to that, she is professional yet friendly and comfortable, and immediately fit in with our team, our brand, and our focus.
— Erin, Stanford's Steak

This is the review Erin of Stanford’s Steak left for me after their brand photoshoot earlier this year.

If you’re unfamiliar, Stanford’s Steak is an upscale steakhouse located in Downtown Tacoma in the old Pacific Grill Space. It’s a beautiful historic space and an iconic spot for Tacoma too. I love the exposed brick and dark wood textures in contrast to light marble and soft velvet outfittings. It’s modern and sheek, but that’s not all. They are unique in that their menu is largely a la carté, so you can order your steak and sides separately and put together a meal that you’ll love every part of. In addition, they’ve got a craft cocktail list that will make it hard to decide which to choose from with so many yummy options.

The purpose of this brand shoot was to uplevel some of their past imagery and bring a new eye and expertise to their photography. The style of imagery that they requested was a little more on the moody and contrasty side, showing off the darker aspects of the space along with the bright natural light that comes in from their front windows. We also wanted a modern, upscale feel to the imagery with some movement and human elements thrown in too.

I love how this shoot turned out for them and I was thrilled to hear that they love it too! Here are just a few of my favorite images from it:
