2017 Year in Review

My vision for 2017 included expanding the product photography side of my business and I am happy to say that I have had huge success in this area! I've been able to connect with multiple new businesses in the area, as well as old ones, to create images for their websites, social media, and other marketing needs. It is such a joy to be able to support my community in this way! Here are a few of my favorite captures for local businesses from this past year.

It is awesome to be a part of such a vibrant business community here in the Puget Sound! Not only have I been able to connect with retail shops, but I have been able to connect with more makers this year. One of my favorite things is not only to be able to capture product, but also to be able to capture the people creating! Here are some fun shots I did with Chelsea of Frame and Flora, creating her beautiful artwork behind-the-scenes!

In addition, I continued to work with Wax & Wool this year, with some of the most fun concept shooting I've done to date. I love when I get to photograph a business again and again and help them market each new collection launch! It really helps to build the brand story and grow their businesses!

Another fun opportunity that I had this year was working with one of my all-time favorite foods...ICE CREAM! I was thrilled when Snoqualmie Ice Cream reached out to me with this opportunity and to this day I get excited about these images! What a dream come true!

Not only have I expanded my product photography, but I have also added social media management packages this year! This was a big step for me and I am so happy that I took the plunge! If you had asked me a year ago, I never would have guessed that I would do something like this, but it has been an amazing job so far! I absolutely love planning beautiful feeds for my clients and promoting local brands and this is the direction I feel myself pulled in more and more these days! Here are some of my favorites from working with Hello, Cupcake over the last six months.

I also I've had the privilege of working with Charme Nail and Skin Studio on their social media and brand photography this year!

As well as Ice Cream Social! I just love shooting brand images of ice cream, can you tell?

Another ice cream brand I got to help out with brand photography and social media was a new shop that opened in University Place: Bliss Small Batch Creamery. What a joy to help a new business get off their feet through beautiful imagery and social media marketing!

Although there are so many more images that I want to share with you I will cut myself off here and just share this one last thing with you. As this year came to a close, it brought with it in an unexpected blessing of the opportunity for me to rent a studio at Court House Square! I am thrilled with this chance to build on my dreams and I hope it will help me further my creativity, even in these dismal winter months in Washington. I can't wait to see where this next chapter in my business leads as we launch into 2018! Cheers!
